Stephen Chow

I have always been a fan of Stephen Chow. From his initial days of mindless comedy to his recent works where he juggled action, comedy and traditional melodrama together, I have always watched faithfully each and every one of his movies.

After his hugely successful hit, The Shaolin Soccer, he sort of faded into the background. It was only recently that I read news regarding his latest movie funded by Hollywood, specifically, Sony Pictures to make a movie call Kung Fu Hustle.

It's a big budget film, with lots of CGI, more than his previous movie The Shaolin Soccer, and has Sammo Hung and Yuen Wo Ping as action choreographers. It was shown in last month's Tornote Film Festival where it was a huge hit. It is going to hit the cinemas here on the 23rd Dec, and I can't wait.
