Hitch

Life is not the amount of breaths you take, it's the moments that take your breath away. - Alex 'Hitch' Hitchens, the movie 'Hitch'

By the way, great movie.

Note To Self

All journeys begin with a small step. It just takes a small step to begin all epic journeys.

Nintendogs and such.

I recently bought a Nintendo DS and the very popular game Nintendogs.

I was feeling guilty about spending just a little bit too much time playing World of Warcraft, and with me hogging the PC, my wife had nothing else to do.

I chose the game Nintendogs, well because it has to do with dogs. And basically the game plays like Tamagochi with dogs.

Initially my wife was not really interested in the game, saying that there is no substitute for a real dog, but after a while, she is addicted. Watching her say commands to her dog via the inbuilt microphone in the Nintendo DS with a smile on her face really makes it money well spent.

New Addition to My Family

The latest addition to my family. Isn't she adorable?

Time

I have been really busy lately. One of my friend told me previously that there is time for everything, it is just a method of prioritising and managing my tasks.

Now let me see, I work during the day, and usually reaching home around 8pm. After dinner, a shower, some quick chores like bringing out the garbage, some cleaning here and there and it is around 10pm. After which, I sit down and finally make small talk with my wife before she sleeps around 11pm.

The next few hours before I sleep are mine. In these few hours, I have to keep up with what is happening in the world via the Net, relax by playing WoW or other games, check my own personal email, read my books. I usually goes to bed around 1am. So that left me around 2 hours just to do my own stuff. Not much time is there?

Weekends are spent with 1 day cleaning up the house, doing the laundry, ironing clothes and the other day is either spent doing some grocery shopping or just chilling out at home.

So from Monday to Friday I get like just 10 hours. Hardly enough to play a game, pick up a new programming language, read a book.

Not to mention nowadays I have to deal with the renovation of my new place, getting my present place rented out, caring for the new addition to my family, and I really start to wonder if this is just a case of poor management of time on my part or really 24 hours a day is not enough?
